Johan is one of the leading global experts and advisors in Retail and Commerce Media with multiple business builds, strategy development, tech acquisitions, sales development, deal making and product development with some of Europe's leading retailers, CPG's and FMCG's under his belt. During his time as a McKinsey partner from 2019 to 2024 he was responsible for building out McKinsey’s European Retail and Commerce Media practice. He is an adtech & media industry veteran with an international background from companies like Google, Criteo and AOL. Johan is a frequent industry key-note speaker and was in 2024 selected to participate as a juror in the Cannes Lions Creative Commerce category

He has vast operational and consulting expertise from companies like Google, Criteo, AOL and McKinsey within business building strategies and commercial strategy development and deployment. With complementary background within technologies for digital advertising, digital marketing & sales and advertising/marketing analytics he has served a wide array of consumer-driven companies in developing their digital and omnichannel advertising & marketing operations and capabilities.

With more than 15 years of global experience in ad-tech/mar-tech platforms, media acquisition management and e-commerce from multiple European and Global contexts Johan is a highly trusted name among many of the industry leaders.
